Climate Risk Institute proposes a robust practitioner's network aimed at advancing the Ministry of Energy and Climate Solutions' goals in British Columbia (BC). This initiative seeks to unite a diverse set of stakeholders, including municipalities, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and the private sector, with a focused ambition to slash urban heat and enhance energy efficiency across homes and public spaces.

By leveraging a series of policy and physical measures—from subsidies for energy-efficient appliances and reflective window films to the conceptualization of mobile cool zones and "Cool Pavements"—the project is not just about combating the rising urban temperatures but also about setting a sustainable model of collaboration and innovation.

This network will serve as a crucible for sharing best practices, fostering collaborative projects, and possibly shaping policy advocacy that aligns with governmental efforts to ensure more livable, cooler cities capable of facing the challenges posed by climate change.
